JAKARTA - Leicester City were knocked out of the Europa League after losing 3-2 to Napoli in their final Group C match of the competition at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Friday morning.

Launching Antara, Leicester finished third in Group C of the Europa League and will continue their journey to the Conference League.

Meanwhile, Spartak Moscow won the group after a 1-0 win over Legia Warsaw. Spartak lead head-to-head over Napoli and both have 10 points each.

The position has changed when the game has been running for four minutes. Adam Ounas put Napoli ahead with a shot that headed towards the far post of Kasper Schmeichel's goal.

Napoli doubled the position in the 24th minute through Eljif Elmas' goal which converted Andrea Petagna's pass. Leicester are two goals behind.

After three minutes, Leicester reduced the position through Jonny Evans' kick from close range. The position is 2-1.

The Foxes came back in the 32nd when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall fired a shot from the edge of the box that rattled the net after picking up the ball from a Napoli clearance. The score becomes 2-2.

The fierce duel continued in the second half. Napoli dominated possession and launched dangerous attacks to get the third goal.

In the 53rd minute, Napoli finally restored the lead. Elmas fired a shot from the penalty box after receiving Di Lorenzo's cross to make it 3-2 for Il Partenopei.

Leicester City could have equalized in the 55th minute when a Giovanni Di Lorenzo error was converted by James Maddison but his shot hit the post.

Leicester tried several times to equalize in the remaining matches, but Brendan Rodgers' men had to swallow the bitter pill of losing 3-2.
