Ahead Of Persib Vs Persebaya, Robert Alberts Says His Team Is In High Motivation

JAKARTA - Week 15 of Liga 1 2021 will present an interesting match between Persib Bandung and Persebaya Surabaya. Both are in a positive trend, the meeting of the two teams has been confirmed to be fierce.

Even though he will face an opponent who is on fire, Robert Rene Alberts does not necessarily feel anxious. The Persib coach was even more excited because he knew his team was also highly motivated.

This was revealed by Alberts because Maung Bandung is trying to reduce the distance with Bhayangkara FC as the leader of the temporary standings.

"(Against Persebaya) It's true that we have a good placement (position). But, the most important thing right now is that the character and motivation in the team is high, that's why we are excited to keep winning," he said, quoted from Persib's official website.

Apart from the perceived high motivation, the match against Persebaya must also make Persib alert. The reason is, ahead of the meeting there were several Maung Bandung players who were absent.

The players are Ardi Idrus who is absent due to accumulation of yellow cards and Teja Paku Alam who is not fully fit after injury.

Not only that, Victor Igbonefo and Ezra Walian were also absent due to defending the Indonesian national team and Mohammed Rashid who also defended the Palestinian national team.

Despite the lack of mainstay players, Alberts admitted it was not a problem. The Dutch coach said he had found the right players to fill the vacant positions.

"We cannot replace Rashid with another player. So, we need to find a balance. We have found him. He can play similarly to that position," he said.

The match between Persib and Persebaya will take place on Wednesday, December 8 at 20.45 WIB. Playing at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, this time Persib was lined up to be the host.
