"The schedule for week 18 and week 19 will be shifted to a fourth series scheduled match which is planned to start on January 5, 2022," said Director of Operations PT LIB, Sudjarno, quoted from a statement received by VOI, Tuesday, November 30.

Where during Christmas 2021 and New Year's 2022 no sports activities are allowed from December 24, 2021 - January 2, 2022.
The time lag chosen by PT LIB also aims to provide space for the registration and transfer market for players, which will be opened on 15 December 2021 - 12 January 2022.
"Several considerations made us change the schedule for the third series of BRI Liga 1 this season. In principle, we have coordinated this schedule change with PSSI on November 22, 2021," said Sudjarno.
Furthermore, Sudjarno hopes that the time lag presented by PT LIB can be well utilized by all the contestant clubs of Liga 1. Both for technical and non-technical preparations.
"With this policy, we hope that all contestants can maximize it. For example, after the first half of the competition, clubs can maximize their players' transfer market," said Sudjarno.
Previously, it was known that week 18 and 19 were included in the third series which was supposed to run on November 18 - December 24, 2021. However, based on the latest adjustments, the third series will only last until December 14, 2021.
