JAKARTA - Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has been fined $15,000 for "obscene moves" and warned against swearing at a press conference by the United States basketball association's disciplinary committee.

"LeBron James was fined $15,000 for making obscene gestures on the court and was warned for using obscene language at a press conference," NBA spokesman Byron Spruell said.

This is the second time this week the NBA has disciplined James for an incident on the court.

According to Antara, James was given a one-game suspension for a bloody altercation with Detroit Pistons' Isaiah Stewart in last Sunday's game, which was the first suspension of James' career.

The suspension means James misses the Lakers' 106-100 loss to the New York Knicks on Tuesday.

He returned to the court on Wednesday to face the Indiana Pacers and scored 39 points in the win in extra time that ended 124-116.

Late in the fourth quarter, James drew the ire of NBA officials for making an obscene move after hitting a three-pointer that extended the Lakers' lead to six points.

Later in his post-match press conference, James denounced the one-match suspension he had to go through, and described the punishment in words that were considered disrespectful.

The NBA issued a warning to James on Friday against "using obscene language in press conferences."

James also had a pair of fans sent off the Pacers in extra time, after they denounced James from the touchline.

In nine games this season, James is averaging 24.6 points, five rebounds and 4.6 assists.
