JAKARTA - Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp lauded Ralf Rangnick by telling reporters this Friday that the possible arrival of his German compatriot to Manchester United was "not good news" for the rest of the Premier League.
Rangnick, who previously coached Schalke 04, Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig and is currently head of sport and development for Lokomotiv Moscow, is almost certain to be appointed interim manager of Old Trafford.
"It's a bit complicated, we usually don't talk until everything is confirmed," Klopp said ahead of Liverpool's home game against Southampton today, quoted by Antara.
"He is obviously a very experienced manager. Unfortunately good coaches have come to England and Man United. He is famous for building the club from the ground up. United will be organised, which is not good news."
Klopp added that the 63-year-old Rangnick was highly respected by his country's coaches and had done an "incredible" job at all the clubs he led in Germany.
Previously, it was reported that United would appoint Rangnick as interim coach on a six-month contract. He will be given the club's consultant role for two years after United find a permanent coach.
