Determined To Be A Champion In The Endurance Racing With WRT, This Is Sean Gelael's Busy Schedule For The 2022 Season

JAKARTA - Indonesian racer Sean Gelael has a busy schedule in the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) race.

Sean Gelael's ambition and motivation to pave the way for endurance racing next season is very high considering the achievements he has made at the WEC this season.

The 25-year-old racer managed to become the runner-up in the LMP2 class with JOTA #28 which consisted of Tom Blomqvist from England, and Stoffel Vandoorne from Belgium.

This achievement also makes Sean the Indonesian racer with the highest achievement in the history of the country who has competed in an event recognized by the International Automotive Federation (FIA).

Sean will return to the racing event next season and is determined to become a champion. To realize this target, his father, Ricardo Gelael, said that next season Sean will work with Team WRT, the team that won this season.

"Sean is no longer in Jota, but with WRT," Ricardo said as quoted by Antara, Friday.

Sean will make various preparations to achieve this target. According to the WEC 2022 racing calendar, Sean will compete in six endurance races.

He will make his debut next season by taking part in the Prologue session at Sebring International Raceway, United States, on March 12-13, 2022.

Then down in the series opener which rolled at the same location on March 18 in the United States (US) by dropping at the 1000 Miles of Sebring event. After that, 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on 7 May.

Sean's journey will continue in France for the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 11-12.

One month later or to be precise on July 10, he flew to Italy for the 6 Hours of Monza race and continued the 6 Hours of Fuji in Japan on September 11. Finally, Sean will pave the way at the 8 Hours of Bahrain on November 12, 2022.
