JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yacob Rambitan gained success by qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Masters 2021, leaving their seniors Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan who was stopped in the round of 16 on Thursday.

Pram/Yere escaped from the round of 16 after defeating Japanese men's doubles, Akira Koga/Taichi Saito in a tight match that ended with a score of 21-18, 23-21.

"Earlier, the game was chasing each other, yes, maybe in the first game we won in terms of attack. In the second game, the attack was a bit slack, so the points were tighter", Yere said, as reported by Antara, Thursday.

In the last eight, Pram/Yere will meet fellow national team members who are the top seeds, namely Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon.

For Pram/Yere, his meeting with the Minions must be equipped with thorough preparation, especially from the physical aspect which is required to be more excellent.

"It's normal to meet Minions, you meet often in practice. The most physical preparation is like sleeping faster and eating a lot. It was already drained of energy", said Pram explaining.

In addition to physical preparation, Pram/Yere will also discuss with the coach and watch video recordings of the Tokyo Olympics simulation tournament which will take place at the PBSI National Training Center.

By studying Kevin/Marcus' game in the video, it is hoped that they can prepare the best strategy to beat Kevin/Marcus.

In almost the same match, the second-ranked men's doubles Hendra/Ahsan were eliminated by Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi from Japan.

The Daddies were defeated by the winner of the Denmark Open 2021 in the rubber game 21-11, 15-21, 12-21.
