JAKARTA - Just defeated Caleb Plant last week, Canelo Alvarez is ready to fight again. The coach, Eddy Reynoso, revealed the opponent candidates for his protege.

"There were some boxers in line," Reynoso told La Aficion.

"Berteviev, Bivol, Charlo, Benavidez. We will see with whom we can reach good negotiations," he continued.

Alvarez has been named the first Mexican and Latin American boxer to win in four major boxing organizations: WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF.

Despite being a champion in four different divisions, Reynoso admits he prefers to stay at 168 pounds and not risk a move to cruiserweight.

"It weighs a lot, at 168 pounds we feel really good and we prepare really well," added Reynoso.

"We gave him strength and he didn't get tired. I think 168 (pounds) is better and we'll see who wants to fight him with that weight."

The coach's comments were a response to the challenge of cruiserweight champion Mairis Briedis a few days ago.

"It seems impossible for Canelo to find an attractive fight even at middle or light weight class, is he ready to take on a proper challenge from cruiserweight?" Briedis posted on Instagram.

To accept the challenge the Latvian boxer, Canelo need to move up two weight categories. That is, the weight must increase significantly. And Reynoso firmly rejected the idea.
