Joining The National Team Training In Turkey, Egy Maulana: Must Work Hard And Discipline

JAKARTA - Egy Maulana Vikri has joined the Indonesian national team in Turkey for training camps and trials. After joining the Garuda squad, Egy said he was happy and wanted to focus on training.

The FK Senica player arrived and immediately joined the national team in Turkey on Friday, November 12. Egy became one of the players who followed the national team with Witan Sulaeman.

Both did not depart simultaneously from Indonesia because they adjusted the schedule of their respective clubs. Arriving in Turkey, Egy immediately mingled and set a target for the team.

“What is certain is that I am very happy to be able to gather with friends in the Indonesian national team. We have started to focus on test matches and have to work hard and be disciplined in training," said Egy in a written statement received by VOI.

The high target and focus that Egy expressed was related to the agenda that the national team had to undergo, where they would undergo a trial match. The Garuda team will compete against Afghanistan on November 16, followed by Myanmar on November 25.

Despite arriving later than his colleagues, Egy admitted that he had no difficulty adapting. After a long journey, his body condition is still fairly fit and good.

“The weather here is no problem for us either. My condition is fit and there are no problems. Earlier we did light exercises such as running and some separate exercises," he explained.

From the existing agenda, Egy will only play in the match against Afghanistan, because his club only allows him to participate in the official FIFA agenda.

The schedule for training camps and trials is carried out by the Indonesian national team in preparation for appearing in the 2020 AFF Cup in Singapore, next December.
