JAKARTA - A series of events will decorate the opening ceremony of the XVI Papua National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) at the Mandala Stadium, Jayapura City, Friday.

Carrying the theme "Light from East Papua", the opening ceremony of the 16th edition of Peparnas will start at 19:00 WIT or 17:00 WIB and will feature a different concept from the opening ceremony of the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON).

The combination of LED lights, fireworks, and the most attention grabbing attraction is the 500 drones that will decorate the ceiling of the Cenderawasih Earth.

Head of the Opening and Closing Ceremony (OCC) of Peparnas Papua, Toton Hutomi, said hundreds of drones were imported from California and Dubai. In addition, the pilots were imported from Europe and Singapore.
