JAKARTA - The PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) has decided on the results of the trial regarding the alleged match fixing involving the Liga 2 club, Serang Serang.

One of the results found by the PSSI Komdis after conducting an investigation was the fact about the former Perserang coach, Putut Wijanarko. Putut, who was previously suspected of being involved, did not participate in the match fixing experiment at all.

"After we investigated, Putut (Wijanarko) was not involved in the practice of fixing the score. He was never contacted and never invited. However, he was indeed notified," said PSSI Komdis Chairman, Erwin Tobing, in a virtual press conference session attended by VOI, Wednesday November 3rd.

Erwin Tobing said Putut was free from management reports regarding the alleged involvement of players and coaches. This is because from the results of the examination it was found that Putut already knew a number of players were involved in match fixing efforts.

Putut then decided not to field the five players in question when Perserang met Badak Lampung FC.

"Because he wanted to get ahead of the match, he (Putut Wijanarko) did not play these five players against the Lampung Rhino for the sake of the team's integrity," said Erwin Tobing.

"Because he heard, received information, and received reports from his players that there was an attempt to influence some players," added the Komdis Chairman.

The five players in question are Eka Dwi Susanto, Fandy Edy, Ivan Julyandhy, Ade Ivan and Aray Suhendri. The five names had previously been expelled by the club along with the coach for allegedly committing fraudulent practices.

But after going through the investigation, it was also known that Putut's dismissal from the club was apparently not related to match fixing. Perserang Serang cut off cooperation with Putut due to an internal conflict in management.

"Then about the reason he was dismissed from his position as head coach, according to our assessment it is only a management problem," he said.

"We saw nothing to do with match fixing. It's just a matter of a less harmonious relationship between the coach and the manager," said Erwin Tobing.
