JAKARTA - Amid the trend of short video content that increasingly dominates social media, the Astra Honda Motor Foundation (AHM Foundation) invites young people to voice the importance of driving safety with the communication style typical of Gen Z. The invitation is realized through the Safety Riding Short Movie Contest 2026 (SMC 2026) which takes place from May 25 to the end of July 2026.
Under the theme "Stay Alive for the Next Chapter", this competition is expected to be a platform for young people's creativity while inviting them to see driving safety as an important part of achieving the future and realizing dreams. Through this competition, participants are encouraged to present emotional storytelling, creative visuals, to short video formats that are relevant to digital platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
With this approach, the message of driving safety is expected to be received more widely and leave a strong impression among the younger generation. SMC 2026 is divided into two categories, namely short films and social media creative videos.
Participants are given the freedom to pour ideas through films with a maximum duration of three minutes or short videos up to 60 seconds with a style of presentation that is close to the daily lives of young people. This competition is open to high school/equivalent students, students, to the general public from all over Indonesia.
Chairman of the AHM Foundation, Ahmad Muhibbuddin, said the competition was one of the steps to involve young people in the driving safety movement through creative approaches that are closer to their lives.
"Through this event, we want to give young people a space to convey their perspectives and positive messages related to driving safety in a relevant way. We hope that more and more young generations will dare to work, collaborate, and be part of positive change for a sustainable future," said Muhib as quoted from the official statement, Tuesday, May 26.
All participants' works can be uploaded via Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The assessment will be carried out by a panel of professional judges by considering the appropriateness of the theme, creativity of storytelling, originality of ideas, strength of messages, to visual and editing quality.
As a form of appreciation, the AHM Foundation prepared a total prize of tens of millions of rupiah for the winners who were able to present inspiring works and have a positive impact on the community.
