BYD Tech Culture Fest Officially Held, Introducing the Latest Hybrid Technology

JAKARTA - BYD held the 'BYD Tech Culture Fest' at the South Parking Lot of GBK, Senayan, Jakarta, until May 24. The event can be attended by the entire community, alias open to the public.

During the event, BYD showcased the latest electrification technology or DM (Dual Mode), as well as presenting the main activities that can be tried during the event, namely the Monster truck test, agility test, and test drive.

Head of Product PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Bobby Bharata explained that DM is BYD's latest hybrid technology that has first been introduced in Indonesia. Dual Mode technology itself is a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) system with an electric-first approach.

"DM is a hybrid platform. So our technology is called DM Technology. There BYD combines between hybrid and EV. Well, we hope this will be the solution, the ultimate solution for customers," he said, when met in Senayan, some time ago.

BYD revealed that Dual Mode technology prioritizes electric motors as the main driver of vehicles. Meanwhile, the gasoline engine works as a supporting component to generate electric power and help efficiency when needed.

This approach is one of BYD's strategies in presenting electrified vehicles that are still comfortable to use for daily mobility and long-distance travel.

With the event taking place, of course, it opens the opportunity for BYD to be known more widely, especially now that it is more complete thanks to the latest technology that is present.
