Build Cross-Sector Collaboration, GIICOMVEC Exhibition Officially Opened Today

JAKARTA - The business to business (B2B) exhibition for commercial vehicles, Gaikindo Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEC) 2026 was officially opened today at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

Held for 4 days, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Eko S.A. Cahyanto, congratulated and expressed his highest appreciation to Gaikindo for the return of GIICOMVEC 2026 and emphasized the importance of cross-sectoral synergy in strengthening the national automotive industry.

"Through GIICOMVEC 2026, we hope for the development of closer collaboration between the government, industry players, associations, and all stakeholders. This synergy is an important foundation in strengthening the industrial structure, improving efficiency, and developing adaptive and sustainable commercial vehicle technology," he said, Wednesday, April 8.

On the same occasion, Gaikindo Chairman, Putu Juli Ardika, stated that the commercial vehicle industry is the main driver of public mobility as well as the distribution of goods that maintain economic stability.

"Gaikindo is very aware that in order to maintain this momentum of national economic growth, commercial vehicle support is needed that is not only robust, but also efficient and adopts future technologies. The holding of GIICOMVEC 2026 is designed as an event to explore the latest commercial vehicle solutions and business opportunities in one place, bringing together the domestic industry with professional buyers," said Putu.

During the four days of its implementation, GIICOMVEC 2026 was attended by a total of 14 commercial vehicle brands from various categories, ranging from light commercial vehicles, medium trucks, heavy duty trucks, to buses and special vehicles, including Daihatsu, DFSK, Farizon, Ford, Foton, Hino, Isuzu, JAC Motor, Mitsubishi Fuso, Sany, Suzuki, Toyota, Wuling, to Guangzi Auto. In addition, more than 35 supporting industry brands also participated by showcasing various latest innovations, ranging from body technology, spare parts, to digital fleet management systems. The presence of these participants makes GIICOMVEC 2026 a complete platform to answer solutions for efficiency and modernization in the commercial vehicle sector.
