Jaecoo's Super Hybrid System Claimed to be Ideal for Long-Distance Travel during Lebaran

JAKARTA - Jaecoo, a Chinese automotive manufacturer, already has a complete line-up of cars in the Indonesian automotive market, there is an ICE version, Super Hybrid System (SHS) J7 and J8 and pure EV, from the J5 EV model.

Currently, the EV version of the J5 is quite in demand, even the queue for ordering has reached thousands of units. However, other models are also quite in demand, especially the Super Hybrid System (SHS).

"Currently we have three complete line-ups, and for the current market acceptance they complement each other and the surge in demand for J5 EV helps boost other models, in tandem with high interest," said Marketing Jaecoo Indonesia, M. Ilham Pratama, when met in Kemayoran, Friday, January 13.

According to him, currently there is a special market for EVs, and for SHS itself the market wants a different experience. For example, in the city you want to use pure EVs and traveling far requires long range.

"But SHS still offers high efficiency and a diverse market. There are examples in Bandung, there are those who want to use EVs in the city, in Makassar as well," he added.

Suitable for homecoming

The approaching Lebaran homecoming period encourages public attention to vehicle readiness for long-distance cross-provincial travel and traffic conditions that are difficult to predict. The need for fuel-efficient vehicles, flexible without having to queue at SPKLU frequently, and still comfortable in the middle of traffic jams makes the new generation hybrid technology more relevant.

The Super Hybrid System (SHS) approach on the JAECOO electrification SUV line is positioned as a practical solution so that homecoming remains calm without being haunted by the fear of running out of power (range anxiety). Especially considering the homecoming character in Indonesia which is synonymous with the combination of Trans Java and Sumatra toll roads, long traffic jams in arteries, and uphill routes with varying driving rhythms.

Head of Product JAECOO Indonesia, Ryan Ferdiean Tirto, said that the SHS system is designed to automatically adjust the use of electric machines and motors according to road conditions.

"This adaptive work pattern helps the vehicle remain responsive when overtaking, but still economical when creeping in the middle of a traffic jam. This is very suitable for our homecoming character, which can be hundreds of kilometers away," he explained.
