Car Production Reaches 1 Million Units, X Driver Prepares Flying Cars, Robotaxi, And IRON Robots For 2026

JAKARTA - XPeng, one of China's electric vehicle giants (EV), today announced the achievement marking a remarkable spike in their manufacturing scale.

At the opening of Auto Guangzhou 2025 (21 November), the company officially produced their 1 millionth vehicle.

XPeng CEO, He Xiaopeng, highlighted the massive acceleration the company achieved. To build the first 500,000 cars, XPeng takes 82 months. However, to reach the next 1 million (half a million units), they only need 14 months!

The car that was lined up as the 1 millionth historic unit was XPeng X9 EREV, which was just launched the night before. The popularity of X9 immediately exploded on the market, noting a pre-order that surpassed the previous day's record, in just one hour of launch. Interestingly, 79 percent of customers choose the Ultra variant.

Robot Roadmap And Flying Cars

Reporting from ChinaEVHome, Friday, November 21, the achievement of 1 million units is just an opening. XPeng also showcased a very ambitious smart technology roadmap for the future:

Robotaxi (Autonomous Taxi): X Peng plans to launch three Robotaxi models and start pilot operations (pilot operations) by 2026.

Flying Vehicles: The company's mass delivery of flying vehicles, dubbed the "Land Aircraft Carrier", is also scheduled for 2026.

IRON's Humanoid Robot: The next generation of IRON humanoid robots is targeted for mass production by the end of 2026. Its long-term ambition is to sell more than 1 million units per year by 2030, with prices approaching the automotive level.

New Model Floods and Dual-Power Domination To strengthen market dominance, XPeng has developed an aggressive product strategy for 2026 which will launch seven dual-power models. Three of them are Super-EREV Kunpeng vehicles positioned for the long-range EV segment with 5C ultra-fast charging features.

Then, the second-generation VLA Architecture will be fully applied to Ultra models in the first quarter of 2026, and expanded to Max models in the same year.

Furthermore, for global expansion, it is said that there are three new models specifically designed for overseas markets next year, while XPeng P7+ is scheduled for an international debut in January 2026. The company will also expand to the compact and mid-size SUV segments.

Data shows that XPeng continues to record strong growth, making it one of the top six global EV brands based on model sales by 2025.

As of October 2025, X Peng has delivered 355,209 vehicles in the domestic market (up 190 percent YoY) and 34,712 units in the overseas market (up 106.7 percent).

The XPeng sales and service network now reaches 52 countries and territories, supported by a global charging network that spans more than 2.58 million chargers in 31 countries. This proves that the XPeng momentum is not only present on production lines, but also on global expansion lines.
