Extraordinary, Xiaomi Only Needs 602 Days Of Production Of 500 Thousand Car Units

JAKARTA - Xiaomi Auto officially launched a vehicle to 500 thousand from the production line in China, exactly 602 days after officially attending the automotive market with its flagship model SU7.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Thursday, November 20, Xiaomi Auto launched its first vehicle, the SU7 sedan, on March 28, 2024. The company's Phase 1 factory handles its production with a double shift.

Then, in June, a manufacturer from China officially presented a second model, namely the YU7 electric crossover which was intended to compete with the Tesla Model Y.

The model that was displayed during this production achievement was YU7 trim Max with the Emerald Green color. Equipped with an optional carbon fiber exterior package and a 20-inch rim and a four-piston yellow brake cap.

Production Increases

As is known, Xiaomi previously experienced a production capacity shortage. As a result, the delivery waiting time for the Xiaomi YU7 SUV reached 62 weeks after the booking. The current situation is better with waiting times ranging from 32-38 weeks. Meanwhile, the SU7 Ultra sports car has a waiting time of 6-9 weeks.

Earlier on November 18, Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing said that Xiaomi Auto hopes to achieve its annual delivery target of 350,000 vehicles this week. Meanwhile, Lei Jun revealed that Xiaomi is targeting deliveries of more than 400,000 vehicles by the end of 2025.

Global Expansion

Xiaomi plans to expand globally in 2027 with a focus on the European market. In fact, several countries such as India have been exhibited although there is no clarity regarding their presence outside Europe.
