Isuzu Showcases Future Innovation On Japan Mobility Show, Some World Premier To Autonomous Buses

JAKARTA - The main player in the Japanese commercial vehicle segment, Isuzu Motors Limited (Isuzu), brought extraordinary treats at the Japan Mobility Show (JMS) 2025 at Tokyo Big Sight Japan on October 30 - November 9, 2025.

At his own home, the Japanese brand displayed world premiere vehicles, autonomous bus-friendly technology, and other concept vehicles created for various mobility solutions for the better world.

At the event, Isuzu raised the theme 'Move the World, Envision a Colorful Future' which conveyed the true meaning of transportation power. This is in line with Isuzu's philosophy, 'moving the World for You' which aims to create better transportation solutions through various innovations.

For a better future, we will continue to move forward with customers who use our vehicles," said COO President and Representative Director Isuzu Motors Limited Shinsuke Minami, in a statement, Thursday, October 30.

Here are some of the models presented by Isuzu at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. Let's look below:

World Premiere Vertical Core Cycle Concept (VCCCC)

One model that stole attention was the first presence of the Vertical Core Cycle Concept (VCC) prototype vehicle, which is a form of Isuzu's vision to see the world of transportation in the future. Isuzu believes that a transportation system that can transport people and goods simultaneously to the right place and time will be commonplace in the future.

From this perspective, Isuzu then designed a vehicle with an innovative vertical frame known as the "Vertical Core". Vertical Core is a joint platform compatible with various configurations, so that it can be accessed by business, individuals, and local communities. Its modular concept allows vehicles to rearrange into units consisting of key components, thus allowing for very flexible and efficient operation.

World Premiere Multi Fuel Engine

Another interesting thing, Isuzu, is that it is proud to present machines that can use various types of fuel to move vehicles. This machine technology is the answer to the development of future internal combustion engine technology that offers easy implementation and cost efficiency in an effort to achieve CN.

These multi-fuel machines have the same key components as conventional diesel engines, such as cylindrical blocks and engkol axes by modifying a number of systems, such as fire and fuel injection (dependent on the type of fuel), these machines can accommodate not only diesel but also other alternative fuels such as natural gas, hydrogen, biofuels, and up to synthetic fuels.

ELF EV Isuzu Garbage Truck

Isuzu aspects of flexibility, functional, environmentally friendly Isuzu ELF EV in the form of the design of a garbage truck. Its presence at JMS 2025 can be a solution to CN's nawacita in the midst of the community environment.

This truck is equipped with a PTO (Power Take-Off) unit that can channel power from vehicle power sources, such as engines or batteries, to additional equipment. The capabilities offered also do not reduce vehicle performance, and have the advantage of an electric vehicle in the form of silent operation and significantly reduce CO2 emissions.

World Premiere

The latest generation of Isuzu GIGA is here to carry out its duties as a heavyweight commercial vehicle, but with a new design as well as improved capabilities. Drivers get a number of better safety features, start braking pre-collision as they turn, brake prevention stuck at left turn, mitigation of side collisions, and early detection system of wheels.

This increase in safety provides greater peace of mind for drivers. At JMS 2025, Isuzu GIGA comes with a low-floor design with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 25 tons. Armed with its high carrying capacity and a wide cargo area, it can provide further travel and improve logistics efficiency.

Autonomous Buses

Isuzu is also active in the development of future technology, autonomous vehicles, which are displayed via ERGA EV. This bus realizes safe and stable autonomous driving through a combination of various sensors in recognizing the surrounding environment using cameras, LiDAR, and millimeter wave radars.

In terms of design, the bus that is suitable for shuttle with environmental routes offers BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) technology with a full flat floor. Quiet operation and fine acceleration/deceleration of the BEV, this bus offers a comfortable and soothing journey for passengers.

Isuzu D-MAX

The 2026 Isuzu D-MAX model comes specifically at JMS 2025 as a special appearance as one of the best-selling models offered by Isuzu. This double cabin vehicle offers a number of appearance updates, and is now using a newly developed 2,2L Diesel engine to meet the various customer needs such as in mining areas.
