Genesis Will Present 1,000 Horse Power Monsters Under Brand Magma

JAKARTA - Secretly, Hyundai apparently has an as card that was revealed in the Investor Day 2025 CEO presentation.

Initially, the President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company! Mu Wayoz revealed Hyundai Motor's ambitious vision to transform into a global mobility leader. According to Mu townoz, Hyundai is no longer just making cars, but is on a mission to redefine the experience of driving through three main pillars: expansion of strategic products, breakthrough electrification technology, and software-defined capabilities.

"In industries facing unexpected transformation, Hyundai has a unique position to win thanks to a combination of attractive products, manufacturing flexibility, technology leadership, extraordinary dealers, and global scale," he said, quoted on the manufacturer's website, Friday, September 19.

However, the South Korean manufacturer accidentally leaked its big plan for the Genesis brand, the Hyundai luxury brand.

Genesis said it would launch a high-performance electric car with fantastic power, 1,000 stances.

This vehicle is predicted to be a serious rival to big names in the EV performance segment, such as the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT and Lucid Air Saphire. This super car will be the culmination of the upcoming Genesis sub-brand performance, namely Magma.

Not just a stunning number of power. CarBuzz reported, information about this emerged in a presentation slide featuring the Genesis product line "Luxury xEV". The basic variant of this car will start from 600 cellphones, but can increase drastically to 1,000 cellphones.

Although the information is still very limited, there has emerged speculation that this vehicle could be in the form of a supercar inspired by the concept of Gran Berlinetta hybrid V6 with a power of 1,071 hp from 2023. However, it is also possible that it will become a high-performance SUV that strengthens the upcoming electric GV90 position, making it one of the fastest SUVs in the world.

This ambitious plan is also supported by the development of a new Genesis platform that will come in 2028. The platform will be very flexible and can accommodate three types of powertrain:

BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle): Pure electric car.

EREV (Extended-Range Electric Vehicle): Electric Vehicles with gasoline engines as generators. Hyundai claims this EREV model can cover a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers with the battery fully charged.

Hybrid (HEV): The hybrid variant is estimated to have more than 500 HP power with increased fuel efficiency.

Meanwhile, to welcome the presence of this line of performance, Genesis GV60 Magma, a sporty version of the electric crossover, will soon be on the global market by the end of this year.

With the "Luxury xEV" strategy which includes Magma's electrification and sub-brand, Genesis is not only focused on luxury, but is also ready to shake up the global automotive market with extreme performance. Look forward to the presence of this new "monster" from South Korea.
