CATL Launches Shenxing Pro Battery, Can Tempuh 758 Km And Fill 478 Km In 10 Minutes

JAKARTA The Chinese battery giant CATL officially introduced the Shenxing Pro, the latest generation of the Shenxing series, ahead of the 2025 IAA Mobility exhibition in Munich, Germany. The presence of this battery is called the ideal solution to support the acceleration of electric mobility in the European market.

Reporting from CNevpost, Monday, September 8, the Shenxing Pro is CATL's first product to carry the latest NP (No Propagation) technology based on lithium iron phosphate (LFP). This technology is the result of seven years of research, with a main focus on safety factors.

CATL explained that NP innovation was able to prevent the emergence of fire and smoke during thermal escape, so the risk of secondary accidents due to obstructed visibility could be avoided.

Shenxing Pro comes in two different variants:

Shenxing Pro Super Long Life & Long Range: offers a distance of up to 758 km (WLTP) with a lifetime of up to 12 years or 1 million km. Even after traveling 200,000 km, his performance only decreased by about 9 percent.

Shenxing Pro Super Fast Charging: capable of adding 478 km of WLTP distance in just 10 minutes is equivalent to 0.8 km per second of charging. CATL calls it the fastest LFP battery for charging in Europe.

This super fast battery also supports extraordinary acceleration. Under the condition of 20 percent state of charge (SOC), vehicles can shoot up from 0100 km/hour in 2.5 seconds with an output of 830 kW.

Not only that, performance is maintained in extreme weather conditions. At a temperature of -20°C, the battery is still capable of providing a distance of 410 km after 20 minutes of charging. For resilience, CATL provides a warranty of up to 10 years or 240,000 km.

Focus On The European Market

CCO as well as SVP Global Business CATL Tan Libin, stated that the launch of the Shenxing Pro was not just an expansion step, but also a long-term commitment of companies in Europe.

"By integrating CATL technology with European automotive expertise for decades, we want to go beyond the slogan in Europe, for Europe towards from Europe," said Tan.

He added that CATL seeks to build a comprehensive EV ecosystem in Europe starting from material production, battery manufacturing, to recycling, the pandemic is accelerating the clean energy transition in the region.
