Opel Spreads New Car Concepts, Guidelines For GSE's Future

JAKARTA - Opel has given its first leak of its newest concept car to be launched at the IAA Mobility 2025 event in Munich, 8-14 September 2025.

Although his name is still kept secret, teaser images released on the Stellantis page (Opel's address), today, August 14, confirmed a strong connection with GSE's high performance sub-brand and provided an overview of the evolution of Opel's iconic design.

Based on the image shared, the concept car features several very striking design elements. The most eye-catching is the evolution of the Opel Compass, where the lit Opel logo is placed in the middle, flanked by slim vertical and horizontal elements and precision.

Opel CEO Florian Huettl stated that this concept car will make the heart palpitate and provide previews of future models.

"This will be impressive with the stunning design and attract the attention of car enthusiasts around the world," he said.

The teaser images also confirm that this concept car will be closely related to the GSE's high performance sub-brand (Grand Sport Electric). The presence of the GSE logo on a slim racing wheel shows Opel's commitment to exploring the limits of the performance of battery-powered electric vehicles.

The guidelines for racing performance are also clearly visible from the unique aerodynamic wheel design, featuring triangular elements inspired by legendary racing cars such as the Opel Manta 400 rally car.

The interior of this concept car is also designed for maximum performance. The driver's chair is minimalist and light as well as a clearly visible roll cage showing that this car is perfect for racing tracks, promising a thrilling, comfortable, and safe driving experience.

Opel promised to immediately announce the names and further details regarding this concept car at the IAA Mobility 2025.
