JAKARTA - Australia's Suzuki reportedly temporarily suspended the delivery of the Suzuki Jimny XL five-door, based on information shared with the dealer network.
Based on a report from Drive, quoted Friday, August 8, information shared with Suzuki dealers has called for an immediate cessation of sales for the Jimny XL five-door.
The directive comes from Suzuki's head office in Japan, and only applies to Jimny XL made in India, not Jimny's three standard doors made in Japan.
There is no specific reason for stopping this sale, but the dealer's information states that the notification is related to the ongoing problems on Jimny 5 Pintu vehicles, both available at dealers and in warehouses.
"Suzuki Motor Corporation has always reviewed quality control and operational errors, which have not been disclosed to us at this stage, are being investigated for Jimny XL," said an Australian Suzuki spokesman.

The spokesman disclosed the investigation that the company had been asked to temporarily suspend the sale of Jimny XL.
"Information from SMC only applies specifically to this model/variant. Customers who currently own or operate Jimny XL on the Australian streets are not advised to stop using it," the spokesperson said.
The move adds to the long list of delivery delays for this popular light offroad vehicle. The three-door model is expected to run out of stock before the latest model with safety updates required by Australian Design Rules (ADR) comes in 2026.
Although Jimny's five-doors have complied with the latest changes, with a more sophisticated autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system, this three-door model can only be sold if its stock is met before March 2025, when changes to the rules take effect.
Suzuki faces delays in procuring a three-door model with orders growing in such a way during 2023, so that automatic version production cessation is enforced until orders are delayed.
