Toyota Builds New Factory In Toyota City, Operates Early 2030

JAKARTA The world's largest automaker Toyota Motor Corporation announced an important plan to strengthen its production base in Japan.

Today, August 7, 2025, the company took the decision to acquire land around Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, to build a new vehicle factory.

Quoted from the global release of the manufacturer today, the new plant is scheduled to start operating in the early 2030s. Regarding what vehicle model will be produced at this factory, details will be decided later. Toyota stated that the construction process would be carried out in close cooperation with related parties, including the Aichi Prefectural government, Toyota City, and local residents.

This step is part of Toyota's strategy to maintain a domestic production capacity of 3 million vehicles. In addition, this new factory will be a manifestation of the concept of "Future Factory" (Factory of the Future) promoted by Toyota. This factory will take advantage of cutting-edge technology and create a work environment where various human resources can develop.
