Gaikindo Claims This Year's GIIAS Visitors Grow Up To 10 Percent Compared To 2024

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO) Yohannes Nangoi revealed that the number of visitors to the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) exhibition has grown this year.

According to him, the total increase (the number of visitors) compared to last year was at 5-10 percent. However, the figure was not explained in more detail because the exhibition was not over when he revealed it, but seeing that in 2024 there were a total of 475,084 visitors during the exhibition.

"If I think the increase is around 5-10 percent, no more than 10 percent because we are trying to maintain the comfort and safety of visitors," he said, when met at ICE BSD during the exhibition.

Meanwhile, Chairman III of the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) Rizwan Alamsjah, revealed that until the 10th day of the exhibition the number of visitors had exceeded last year.

"So we are sure, the number will increase," said Rizwan.

GAIKINDO emphasized that this exhibition is not merely a matter of sales figures. GIIAS' main focus is providing education and direct experience to the public regarding the latest developments in automotive technology and the launch of the latest vehicles.

"This exhibition is not the main thing to sell. The main goal of this exhibition is to communicate, inform the latest technologies of the latest technology and also the latest models to automotive lovers," he added.

GIIAS 2025 made history as the largest and most complete automotive exhibition outside China, with the participation of more than 60 global automotive brands, as well as more than 120 supporting industry brands, occupying an exhibition area of more than 120,000 square meters.

In fact, during the exhibition, more than 40 vehicles will be launched for the first time at GIIAS 2025, including World Premiere, Asia Premiere, and Indonesia Premiere. Some brands will also showcase future concept vehicles that have never been seen before.

Not only that, but the supporting industry also took part in more than 120 accessories brands and automotive components. Later, GIIAS The Series will continue to a number of cities. The second series will begin with GIIAS Surabaya, which will be held on 27-31 August 2025 at Grand City Convex, Surabaya.

Selanjutnya, GIIAS Semarang akan berlangsung pada 24-28 September 2025 di Muladi Dome, Semarang, dan GIIAS Bandung akan dilaksanakan pada 1-5 Oktober 2025 di Sudirman Grand Ballroom, Bandung. Seri Pameran ini akan ditutup dengan GIIAS Makassar pada 5-9 November 2025 di Summarecon Mutiara Makassar.
