Follow In The Footsteps Of Denza, Luxury Submerek From BYD, Yangwang Will Enter Europe Next Year

JAKARTA - The luxury submerek from BYD, namely Yangwang, will certainly enter the European automotive market starting in 2026, and will compete with several other luxuryauts such as Bentley, Porsche, Lotus, and Ferrari.

Quoting from the CarNewsChina page, Tuesday, July 22, this brand will follow in the footsteps of the high-end brand Denza, which will launch early next year. This assurance was expressed directly by BYD's Vice President, Stella Li, telling Autocar.

There is no information yet regarding the upcoming line of Yangwang models for Europe, but currently the Chinese brand already has several popular models, one of which is predicted to be present in Europe, namely the U8 SUV model.

In specifications, Yangwang U8 uses the E4 platform which comes with a length of 5,319 mm, a width of 2,050 mm, a height of 1,930 mm with a wheelbase of 3,050 mm.

Referring to the Chinese market, this car comes with a front design that adopts a large grip, LED-wide lights and is integrated with the front bumper. The car also features a LiDAR sensor on the roof, an open baggage door, and a hidden door handle.

In the interior, Yangwang U8 has five seats. The middle console of this car uses a 23.6-inch instrument panel equipped with a 12.8-inch main touchscreen for 12.8 inches, and a 23.6-inch touch screen for the front passenger. There is also a 70-inch augmented reality head-up display and 22 speakers from Dynaudio.

The Yangwang U8 is also embedded with a hydraulic suspension of Disus-P and four electric motors with a combined peak power of 880 kW (1,180 hp) and a peak torque of 1,280 Nm. Behind the hood, the U8 has an ICE 2 L engine that functions as a generator.

This car accelerates up to 100 km/hour in 3.6 seconds. This car is also powered by a 49.05 kWh LFP battery for a range of 180 km. The combined range reaches 1,000 km. The biggest uniqueness of this car is its ability to float in water and travel at a speed of 3 km/hour.
