Chery Shows Off The Resilience Of Tiggo 8 CSH Battery That Functions Normally After Submerging 54 Hours In Sea Water

PT Chery Sales Indonesia has succeeded in proving the resilience of the Super Hybrid Chery battery which was soaked for approximately 54 hours, which was initially only 48 hours.

The batteries that were soaked in the sea water were then paired back into the Tiggo 8 CSH car and had no problems when paired again, and were tested by the Country Director of Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI), Zeng Shuo together with the Director of Sales of PT CSI Budi Darmawan.

"From the test results, we bring the measuring equipment, our technicians state that everything is running normally and has no impact," said Budi, when met in the PIK area, Thursday, June 19.

Zeng Shou, said that previously Chery himself had tested the battery in the laboratory, and the battery was strongly submerged for 72 hours. When testing (in the lab) the salt content until the water resembles seawater.

"But if it's here (Indonesia) it's directly from sea water, we were nervous because this is in front of media friends directly. But because we have tried it, we are confident in this evidence," said Zeng.

As previously reported, Chery held a campaign 'Extrem Challenge Chery Battery Test' with the theme Revolution of Safety. This step was taken to answer public doubts and questions regarding the utility of Super Hybrid Chery (CSH) technology.

It is an honor for Indonesia, because it is lined up as the first country on an international scale to conduct extreme battery tests. This test was attended by journalists from abroad, both from Malaysia and Thailand. As a country with a tropical rainforest climate, Indonesia has high rainfall and often causes flooding that poses a high risk of water exposure to battery immersions for vehicles.

A total of two batteries were soaked, one for use directly into the car and the other opened to show whether there was a problem in the battery. From VOI's direct observation, it looks very safe.

Later, Chery will also hold several other tests such as in Mexico to Brazil with different testing systems.
