Chery Doesn't Want To Be Left Behind ByD Who Presents Drone Innovation In Vehicles

JAKARTA The leading automotive manufacturer from China, BYD, collaborated with DJI, the drone technology giant, to bring new innovations that integrate aircraft systems into their vehicles.

This sophisticated system is named Ling Yuan, not just additional accessories, but a breakthrough that brings the driving experience to a higher level. This system can be directly connected to vehicles, opening up new possibilities in its use.

Not wanting to be left behind, Chery, through its premium brand Exeed, also announced that it would bring smart drone technology into its vehicle line. Citing CarNewsChina, Monday, March 10, Chery leaked in a short video that the system will first be applied to the Exeed Exlantix ET SUV.

The selection of the Exlantix ET as a pioneer model is not without reason. The SUV was named the 2024 Car This Year in China, making it the ideal vehicle to introduce integrated drone technology.

This innovative system, named Fly Eye, is placed on the roof of a vehicle in a special box that can remove drones automatically when activated. This concept looks similar to BYD's implementation, which first developed similar technologies.

More than just an additional feature, the Fly Eye system will be equipped with various smart functions, including take-off with one button, automatic tracking, real-time image transmission, recording, object identification, to smart parking navigation. Users can also operate drones separately using remote controls, providing a new, more interactive experience.

As a pioneer in this innovation, BYD first presented a smart drone system on the Yangwang U8 Offroad Player Edition model, making it the first vehicle in China to be equipped with this technology.

With Chery's entry into competition, it's not impossible that drone technology in the auto industry will become a new trend in the future
