Chery Handed Over 60 Units Of Omoda E5 As Operational Vehicles For This Company

PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) handed over 60 units of Omoda E5 to PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI), which took place at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025.

The handover of this unit also marks the first step of collaboration between the two companies in supporting government programs, to achieve the net zero emission target by 2060.

Head of Brand Department of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, Rifkie Setiawan, said that Chery really appreciates the trust given by Bank BSI, and this is a form of support for accelerating vehicle electrification in Indonesia.

"This also further encourages Chery to continue to be committed to presenting innovations for environmentally friendly vehicles in the country, in a joint effort towards a greener Indonesia," he said, at the handover event, in Kemayoran, Thursday, February 20.

The trust given by Bank BSI in Omoda E5 also strengthens Chery's position, as a trusted passenger vehicle manufacturer and is able to meet the needs of various customers in Indonesia.

This collaboration will not only significantly reduce carbon emissions, but will also encourage the adoption of environmentally friendly electric vehicles in the wider community. In addition, electric cars are also free from odd-even rules, thus making mobility flexible.

Chery Omoda E5 itself is an electric car that fills the SUV segment, this car has various advantages, for example, a futuristic design that is indeed an environmentally friendly SUV that is a manifestation of innovation and the latest technology.

This Chinese brand also embeds various advanced features, such as 17 ADAS, ventilated seats, Snapdragon Cockpit Platform Gen Tiga, SA 8155, and efficient high-tech batteries. The presence of the Vehicle to Load (V2L) feature allows Omoda E5 to be used as a portable electric resource when in areas where electricity has not been reached.

The distance offered from this electric car is 430 km based on WLTP or 505 km tests based on NEDC. The acceleration capability of this car is 0-100 km/hour, only 7.2 seconds.
