JAKARTA AION, an electric car brand from China, is getting serious about working on the Indonesian market. One of the strategic steps is to expand the network of dealers in the country throughout 2025.
AION Indonesia CEO Andry Ciu is targeting the number of AION dealers operating this year to exceed 50, from currently around 40 dealers.
"The target is that throughout 2025 we already have more than 50 dealers," said Andry during a media test drive event in Yogyakarta, two days ago.
Currently, the AION dealer network has been present in various major cities in Indonesia, ranging from Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, to Bali. In fact, this brand already has a display unit in Aceh as an effort to expand market reach.

Not only dealer expansion, AION also plans to build a charging station network at each outlet to support consumer needs in charging electric car batteries.
Although the construction of a special charging station has not been included in the 2025 plan, Andry ensures that the network available at AION dealers will support fast charging and can be used for free by customers.
"At some points of the dealer, we present fast charging for free. Currently it is running and is free of charge," he concluded.
