BMW Mulai Produksi Model X3 Yang Memiliki Jarak Sabuk Roda Lebih Panjang Di China

JAKARTA - Chinese culture upholds family and relatives. Cars with extensive cabin space allow more family members to sit comfortably, especially when traveling long distances. Cars with long-wheeled axes are often associated with luxury and high-class cars. So no wonder, a number of manufacturers are willing to present models with revised wheelbase.

The latest news is that BMW is starting production of the X3 model which has a 9 cm longer wheelbase in China, and the German brand will start selling the model in the first quarter of this year.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Wednesday, January 8, BMW in China formed a joint venture with BRilliance Auto since 2003, currently the joint venture operates two factories in Shenyang.

Both factories are the largest production bases in the BMW Group's worldwide production network, and are also the base for X3 production with longer wheelbases than the global market version.

On January 7, BMW officially marked the start of production of BMW X3 (G48) at the Tiexi plant. The plant owns BMW's largest paint workshop with highly controlled automated optical inspections, to ensure the vehicle leaving the plant is optimal.

Back to the BMW X3 series, the model presented for the Chinese market has a length dimension of 4,865 mm, a width of 1,920 mm, a height of 1,664 mm with a wheelbase of 2,975 mm. The Chinese X3 variant is 90 mm longer and 30 mm wider than its brother for the global market. In addition, China's BMW X3 wheelbase is equivalent to a standard BMW X5.

In design, the BMW X3 made in China adopted the brand's latest design language with a large grip, flat door handle, tilted roof line and very distinctive rear light. Meanwhile, on the interior of this car, it adopts a 14.9-inch arch screen.

China's BMW X3 propulsion system adopts a 2 liter turbocharged engine for 211 kW (283 hp) paired with an automatic transmission of 8 speeds.
