JAKARTA Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) officially started Honda e: City Tour Explore Indonesia in Palembang, 2-4 November 2024. This series of events aims to educate the public about electrification technology while inviting participants to explore historical icons in the city of Palembang using Honda electrification vehicles.

Through collaboration with Palembang Good Guide, the community of walking tours known for the exploration of urban culture, Honda took the participants to five historical and iconic destinations. This tour started with the Great Mosque, the oldest mosque in Palembang, followed by the Balaputera Dewa Museum which stores artifacts from the Sriwijaya Kingdom. The route also includes visits to the People's Struggle Monument (MONPERA), the Palembang Mayor's Office, which was formerly a Dutch water tower, and the Palembang HRUM, which featured the culinary wealth of the Sriwijaya era.

Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor, Yusak Billy, revealed that this event was an important step for Honda to introduce electrification technology.

"We brought Honda e: and Honda STEP WGN, which were warmly welcomed at GIIAS Jakarta. By presenting these models, we want participants to understand more about Honda e: and see the potential for electrification for Indonesia's future," he said, in an official statement received, Tuesday, November 5.

Director of Palembang Good Guide, Pracandha Adwitiyo, added that this collaboration is expected to expand understanding of the importance of environmentally friendly mobility.

"The response is very positive in Jakarta, and we hope for the same enthusiasm from participants in Palembang and the following cities. Hopefully this experience will increase awareness of environmentally friendly vehicles that synergize with cultural conservation," he said.

Participants can experience driving with various Honda electrification models, including hybrid and BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) vehicles. One of the flagships is Honda e: Honda's first pure electric car in Indonesia to be released in 2025, as well as Honda STEP WGN, an MPV upgrade that offers a unique driving experience. Honda also provides hybrid units such as All New Honda CR-V RS e: HEV and All New Honda Accord RS e: HEV.

The Honda e: City Tour will last for three months until January 2025, with the next cities of Yogyakarta and Malang. This tour offers a unique experience that combines electrification innovation with local history of each city
