JAKARTA - The multinational automotive company Stellantis has confirmed that it will start production with the latest version of Jeep Compass for next year.
Launching from Reuters, Tuesday, October 8, this medium-sized SUV will enter production lines in Melfi, Italy. The model will carry the base of the STLA Medium platform developed by Stellantis which is claimed to have flexibility for various configurations.
According to this parent company, the latest Compass will be presented in the gasoline engine version. Then, over time it will launch in versions of electric (EV) and hybrid vehicles.
The STLA Medium platform has been used in several models under Stellantis, consisting of Peugeot 3008 and 5008, Opel Grandland, and will be present at Citroen C5 Aircross and DS 7 of the latest generation.
The start of production of this new model is expected to help Stellantis, at least in part, revive its production decline in the pizza country, which in recent months has been affected by market demand and factory reconfiguration for its newest car launch.
