JAKARTA - The Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association (Periklindo) announced that it will hold an Electric Vehicle Conference 2024 which will take place on September 12-13 in Bali.

The event will carry the theme "EVolution REvolution on Technology, Consumers, and the Road to Sustainability" which aims to discuss the latest developments in electric vehicles and a sustainable ecosystem.

Chairman of Periclindo Jend. (Ret.) Dr. Moeldoko, SIP, said the purpose of holding the event was to provide information to various parties regarding electric vehicles.

"The goal is to provide information to all parties, not only the community, but also industry, universities, and others so that understanding electric vehicles will improve," said Moeldoko in his remarks at a press conference in Menteng, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 4.

He also invited stakeholders to attend the event, including from among the government, such as the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) to the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

"We invite existing stakeholders, such as the government of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, so that later they can find out where the EV is going," added Moeldoko.

Moeldoko also hopes that this event can increase the public's interest in owning electric vehicles in the country in order to create cleaner and carbon-free air.

"It is hoped that with this event, the movement of electric vehicles in Indonesia will grow rapidly," hoped Moeldoko.

The election of Bali as the location of the conference is due to its position as an icon of tourism and Indonesian cultural center which has shown a strong commitment to the sustainability and preservation of the environment.

In addition, Periklindo also cooperates with Garuda Indonesia as an official partner in the provision of high-quality transportation that has been recognized by the world.
