JAKARTA The auto market is increasingly dynamic with the presence of various new technologies. If previously Zeekr was known as one of the main players in the pure electric car segment, now this brand from China is ready to enter the hybrid market, which is now more popular in the global market.

Reporting from CNevpost, Friday, August 23, Zeekr plans to launch a hybrid SUV in the second half of 2025. The SUV will be powered by the advanced Nvidia Drive Thor chip, which promises more responsive and efficient driving performance.

Zeekr CEO Andy An revealed that their latest hybrid SUV will carry superior hybrid technology. This hybrid system is claimed to be capable of providing a driving experience equivalent to pure electric vehicles (BEVs), including in terms of braking performance. In addition, this technology is also designed to address fuel consumption problems that are often encountered in long-distance electric vehicles (EREVs).

Zeekr's decision to enter the hybrid segment is in line with global automotive market trends. The success of brands such as Li Auto has proven that the hybrid market has enormous potential. With the presence of Zeekr, competition in this segment is predicted to be even more fierce.
