Hybrid Prius Officially Launches, TAM Says No Target Sales

Toyota Prius Hybrid (HEV) launched for the first time at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

The interesting design and embedded technology make this car quite a lot of visitors see at the exhibition. Meanwhile, the PHEV Prius, which is only a display or has not yet been sold, is equally attractive.

For the HEV Prius itself, PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) admits that it does not have a special target for their environmentally friendly vehicles which are officially sold in Indonesia at a price of Rp. 698 million On The Road DKI Jakarta.

"We are currently not too grandiose in the past, because this is also not a local production. We are targeting the Prius in a fun to drive segment and also stylish," said Marketing Director of PT TAM, Anton Jimmi Suwandy at the GIIAS 2024 arena, ICE BSD, Tangerang, as reported by Antara, Thursday, July 25.

According to him, this environmentally friendly Prius has advantages from a stylish design and can also be an interesting presentation to be driven by its users later, because the consumer of the hybrid vehicle is not only thinking about the problem of the irritation of a vehicle, but also an interesting and fun driving experience to drive.

Many consumers choose the hybrid vehicle because of its availability, but in terms of fun to drive. And this hybrid Prius gives an answer to that," he explained.

With the presence of a Prius in Toyota's Hybrid family, consumers have various choices for environmentally friendly models offered by PT TAM for Indonesian automotive consumers.

In other segments, Toyota Indonesia also has a variety of options for environmentally friendly vehicles such as Innova Zenix in the MPV segment and for the SUV segment they have a Yaris Cross Hybrid which is both known to be efficient, has the function and reliable technology presented.

This fifth-generation hybrid Prius comes with a very sporty look that can provide pleasure in driving. This can be seen because of the design of a low-dimensional and compact vehicle.

This vehicle also uses the second gen-gen TNGA-C platform, so that the center of gravity becomes lower which makes driving more enjoyable.
