JAKARTA - The GIIAS 2024 grand exhibition has entered its second week and there is still the opportunity to try out various new vehicle models that are launching.

Organizers provide an interesting experience for visitors by providing a test drive area wider than the previous test drive, where visitors can directly test the latest various vehicles from well-known automotive brands, on more than 2 kilometers of track with various objects to test vehicle safety and comfort.

Before testing the test drive vehicle, visitors are required to register to fill in their personal data using the barcode that has been provided. In addition, there are several conditions that must be met, including having a valid driving license (SIM), wearing safety equipment, obeying traffic signs, following speed limits and being prohibited from playing smartphones while driving.

After meeting several requirements, visitors verify on the counter test drive or test ride located in the test drive area.

"The test drive area is designed with various obstacles aimed at allowing visitors to experience firsthand the performance, maneuverability, and safety features offered by vehicles with the latest technology," wrote an official statement from the organizers, Wednesday, July 24.

In addition, GIIAS 2024 presents a new and improve Water Obstacle area specifically designed to provide visitors with direct experience with vehicle electrification technology, especially electric vehicles.

The latest flagship feature at GIIAS 2024, Articulation Obstacle, is a test area designed with special obstacles to challenge vehicle capabilities.

Those who want to try out two wheels must prioritize safety by requiring the use of safety attributes such as helmets, shoes, and trousers before trying out vehicles on a test ride.

With the highest total number of participants this year, GIIAS 2024 presents a larger test drive area in order to accommodate a total of more than 150 units of vehicles available for testing and more than 25 units of test ride vehicles that can be tested directly by GIIAS 2024 visitors.

Meanwhile, until now, from the collected registration data, a total of almost 7000 test drive units and test rides have been tested by visitors until the 4th day of the exhibition.
