JAKARTA - Mazda is one of the many brands that will participate in GIIAS 2024. This Japanese premium vehicle manufacturer stated that it would present a number of models that visitors can see at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

Marketing & Communications General Manager of PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) Pramita Sari, said that his party would present 11 units of various models sold in Indonesia.

"At GIIAS 2024, we attended the 7A hall like last year with a booth area of 1,000 m2 where we presented 11 units of display," Pramita said in her explanation to the media, Wednesday, June 12.

Another interesting thing is that Mazda will launch one of the newest variants of the existing model for Indonesian customers. He leaked that the model has a large-dimensional SUV style.

"At launch, we will introduce the latest trim from Mazda's proud SUV," added Pramita.

While the name of this model is not yet confirmed, it is likely that Mazda will launch the Plug-In Hybrid version of CX-60 (PHEV) which has been widely marketed in various regions, including Europe and Australia.

Through the slide show displayed, PT EMI provided a teaser showing an SUV resembling a CX-60. It is also reinforced by manufacturers that have revealed the plan to launch the model for 2024 at the end of November last year, one of which is the PHEV model which is planned to launch in the second half of this year.

"We will present other electrification products in the second half of 2024 by presenting SUV models that carry Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) technology, Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), and Mild-Hybrid (MHEV)," said PT EMI Chief Executive Officer Ricky Thio, last year.

For the PHEV variant, Mazda CX-60 is equipped with a 2.5 liter e-Skyactiv 4-cylinder engine with 185 dk of power and a 250 Nm torque combined with a 173 dk electric motor, resulting in a combined 323 dk of power and a 500 Nm torque.

The power is powered by a 17.8 kWh lithium-ion battery that can reach 60 km in one charge. Just like other trims, the CX-60 PHEV carries the transmission of eight automatic accelerations.

In the British market, Mazda CX-60 PHEV is priced at starting at 49,520 pounds (equivalent to Rp1 billion). This value does not include the options offered by this Japanese brand.
