Hotel Car: The Futuristic Concept Of Xoio For Long Distance Travel

JAKARTA - The concept of a hotel room moving on wheels may sound like the concept of the latest science fiction film. However, it could soon become a reality, if this latest concept is a reference worth considering.

Researchers from Xoi aim to make boring car trips something much more comfortable with 'Swift Pod'. This futuristic concept vehicle is equipped with a large sleeping pod where two passengers can sleep well during their journey.

Even if you want midnight snacks, there's no need to stop at rest areas - cars will even provide snacks and drinks!

Swift Pod is based on a simple idea of traveling long distances at 'natural speed' while sleeping.

"We're always interested in night trains and the nostalgic magic of the idea of waking up at the destination after a refreshing (sufficient) sleep," Xoio said in a blog post.

The vehicle they dream of has a futuristic triangular design. We chose to keep using the iconic triangular form to emphasize how little is needed to achieve sustainable means of long-distance transportation, "the team said, quoted by VOI from DailyMail.

The car's cabin has two single beds that can be filled by two passengers. When they travel, passengers can choose to sit upright, or lie in a 'comfortable' bed.

Passengers can order vehicles online, enter the desired destination and time. The navigation system will then calculate the speed required to achieve the desired goal on time autonomously.

"The area of distance you can travel overnight with environmentally friendly speeds is surprising, especially when traffic is low," said Xoio. If you're not too in a hurry, you can also take a break.

The Pod system offers a variety of interesting locations that are always updated to choose from,' added Xoio.
