Hyundai, Kia and Genesis will reportedly make a recall of around 170,000 electric vehicles (EV) in the country of Ginseng.
As previously reported by VOI, the reason behind this recall is the problem with software in charging systems, as revealed by the local Ministry of Transportation or the problem of battery systems was found, the model was affected using the e-GMP platform.
In detail, the models to be recalled from the market are Hyundai IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, Genesis GV60, GV 70, G80 and Kia EV6, as reported by Reuters, March 15.
Responding to this, reported ANTARA, Thursday, March 21, Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) Fransiscus Soerjopranoto admitted that he had not received any news from Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) in South Korea regarding the impact in Indonesia.
"We are still waiting for an official notification from HMC, later when there is official news, we can only give it, until now we have not received the news, whether in Indonesia it has received it, there has been an impact, or including the recall, we also do not know," he said as quoted at a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday night, March 20.

Withdrawals have been confirmed for models of electric vehicles equipped with ICCUs, including Kia EV6 and other models using ICCUs from the same manufacturer as IONIQ 5.
