JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) immediately took various steps after the viral price of Suzuki Jimny 5 door which was marked by unscrupulous sales at the IIMS 2024 event.

On this occasion, Suzuki asked consumers who had already paid a higher price to immediately report via Halo Suzuki, to be followed up or re-clarify to the sales ranks.

"For consumers who may have recorded sales at prices above recommendations, they can re-clarify the sales ranks," said 4W Director Marketing of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), Harold Donnel, when met, at JIExpo Kemayoran.

As is known, the matter of the price of the Jimny 5 Pintu manual type single tone is priced at Rp462 million, for the automatic type single tone Rp475,600 million. As for the manual two tone is sold for Rp465 million, and the automatic two tone is Rp478,600 million on the road.

However, recently many consumers have been offered Jimny 5 Pintu at a price that has been controlled by sales to reach Rp520 million. Sales give this price, with the lure of consumers getting units faster.

"Later we will coordinate with dealers from Sabang to Marauke. However, the problem this time is in Jabodetabek area," he added.

As previously reported, Harold also provided clarification on this issue. He stated that the price announced at the launch was recommended.

"We from Suzuki Indonesia first want to apologize if there has been confusion in the last few days regarding the price perception difference from Jimny's 5 doors that we just launched," said Harold when interviewed by VOI at JIExpo Kemayoran, Monday, February 19, 2024.

In his explanation, he said that in the automotive industry, there are regulations governing business monopoly practices, as regulated in Law no. 5 of 99. Therefore, Suzuki provides a price recommendation for the Jimny 5 door.

"If there are unscrupulous salesmen who increase prices excessively, they can be reported through the Suzuki halo service," he concluded.
