Vehicle Sales Via Auction Increase In 2023, This Car And Motorbike Is The Best Selling

JAKARTA - The JBA Indonesia automotive auction hall further strengthens its existence by auctioning more than 105 thousand cars, and 145 thousand motorbikes from January to October 2023. The sales figure also reached 78 thousand for cars and motorbikes throughout Indonesia until this October.

Based on existing data, sales figures through car and motorcycle auctions rose by 21 percent, from the previous year.

According to Deny Gunawan, as the Chief Operating Officer of PT JBA Indonesia, he is optimistic that he can maintain this achievement, focusing on operational services in the auction network.

"The achievement rate of cars and motorbikes has increased this year. Seeing this increase, we will also start reopening floor or offline auctions in various branches outside Java and Sulawesi, which since the pandemic has become a fully online-based auction," he said, when met at the automotive auction simulation event. As stated by Deny Gunawan, JBA plans to hold hybrid auctions or offline and online auctions in JBA's auction network outside Java, namely Medan, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Lampung and Balikpapan branches, where the five branches during the pandemic adapt online auctions as a whole.

"The service plan is of course accompanied by JBA's readiness to welcome more auction enthusiasts to JBA pools than usual. One of the standards that JBA ensures is transparency of vehicle inspections that will be auctioned based on JBA standards," said Kazuhiro Shioyama as Chief Executive Officer of PT JBA Indonesia.

All vehicles that will be auctioned each week will pass through the inspection or inspection stage based on JBA standards. The results of the JBA standard inspection will issue a grading or assessment result. There will be three gradings consisting of exterior, interior, and engine As for the motor, there will be two grading results, namely exterior and engine.

"All units in JBA Indonesia, in particular cars passing through more than 180 Inspection points with 700 existing indicators. All of this is done in detail to provide sufficient information to bidders but, it must be underlined that JBA is an auction hall that auctions units as they are and has its own Inspection standards," said Johan Wijaya, as Sales & Operational General Manager of PT JBA Indonesia, at the same time.

All checks on JBA Indonesia are carried out based on what is seen, what is heard, and what is felt by the JBA inspection team. The JBA inspection team never dismantles or reconditions the vehicles that enter JBA's pool.

In 2023, MPV cars such as Avanza are still the prima donna in IBA Indonesia with total sales of more than 2,700 units. In addition, Calya, Sigra, Xenia, Innova, and Honda Brio are the most popular in JBA Indonesia. As for motorcycles, the most favorite is Honda Beat FI CW, with total sales of more than 3,000 units, followed by, Gear 125, Scoopy, Nmax, Mio m3 125 cw, Beat, and Aerox 155.
