Chery Introduces QPower Architecture And Two PHEV Models In GIMS 2023

JAKARTA - The Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) 2023 for the first time was held in Doha, Qatar. One of the largest automotive events in the world features several new vehicles with today's technology.

The exhibition was also used by Chinese manufacturer Chery, who took advantage of this momentum to introduce its newest architecture, known as QPower. This architecture offers environmentally friendly travel needs in terms of energy performance, travel distance, fast charging, and safety.

QPower follows the core of this brand: Technology, Green, Family, and Togetherness. This technology is in line with manufacturer planning to present more environmentally friendly vehicles. Furthermore, the company also launched two Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) models that carry the platform, namely Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV.

"QPower reflects the accumulation of Chery machine technology for 26 years, covering various forms of primary energy such as gasoline, hybrid, pure electricity, and hydrogen," said Elaine, as Brand Director of Chery, in an official statement, Thursday, October 12.

Both Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV both have a 1.5T engine with a combination of power from a double electric motor. These two models are capable of producing a distance of pure power up to 95 km and a combination range of gas engines with up to 950 km of electricity.

Both models are claimed to have fuel consumption of up to 1.55 liters/100 km. The SUV has eleven dental combinations that provide a very delicate driving experience and provide users with a comfortable feel.

With QPower, these two models can be compatible with some smart technologies, such as a 24.6-inch concave double layer, Sony's luxury audio system with 8 speakers, as well as the latest L2.5 driver support system.

During 2023, Chery has reached a sales figure of 1,253,237 units or grew by 40.2 percent. This figure exceeds total sales throughout 2022.
