JAKARTA - Tuning companies usually restore cars like empty canvases to improve their performance with their own modified creations.

But what is done by Kimera Automobile, a modification company from Italy, is beyond expectations or unusual. They made modifications to one of the most recent cars ever produced by Lancia, 037.

The car, named Kimera EVO37, came from Lancia 037, which was included in the world rally championship when Group B regulations were still in the 80s. And Lancia 037 won the winning title in 1983.

EVO37 is equipped with a 2.1 liter 4-line twincharger engineering machine, which is a combination of a supercharger with a turbocharger. This machine can produce a powerful power of 500 dk and a torque of 550 Nm. The machine is combined with a six-speed manual transmission used in Lamborghini Gallardo and Audi R8.

In addition, it is equipped, a roll cage, a tubular subframe, and a double wishbone suspension at all corners with dual-shocks embedded in the back.

Continuing the tradition of Lancia 037, EVO37 uses a rear wheel drive system (RWD). So, drivers can feel the extraordinary performance of EVO37 like the rally car Group B in the past.

In terms of appearance, there is no change when compared to Lancia 037. However, EVO37 has been pinned with four LED round lights, and the body is made of carbon fiber.

At the time it was launched, Kimera EVO37 was sold for 37 units at a price of 480,000 euros or around IDR 7.78 billion.

At that time, Lancia 037 was only sold for 300 units to meet homologation standards to be included in Group B regulations. This car managed to bring the WRC constructors title for the manufacturer in 1983 with the rider, Walter R\"ohril, who won runners-up in the drivers' standings.
