Bara Sapoko Ndiaye Attracted Bayern Munich, Officially Signed in the 2026 Transfer Market

Bayern Munich considers the progress of the young midfielder from Senegal Bara Sapoko Ndiaye to be significant, they have officially extended the contract in the 2026 transfer season.

Bayern Munich officially made a permanent move for young Senegalese midfielder, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, in the 2026 summer transfer window.

"Bara Sapoko Ndiaye has signed a professional contract with Bayern until June 2031," the club said in a statement on its official website on Monday (10/8).

The 18-year-old previously joined Die Roten on loan from Gambian club Gambinos Stars Africa in January 2026.

Bayern was impressed with Ndiaye's progress during his loan period. After appearing in four Bundesliga matches in the 2025/26 season.

His performance with Bayern made Ndiaye included in the Senegal national team squad for the 2026 World Cup. He made his Bundesliga debut when Bayern faced St. Pauli in the 29th week of the 2025/26 season.

"Today is a very big day for me and my whole family. I want to learn every day from all the great players here at Bayern and try to help the team," said Ndiaye.

"This is a dream come true for me. I am very happy and also want to be an example for other young players, like my teammates at Gambinos Stars, that you can reach one of the biggest clubs in the world," he added.

Bayern's sporting director, Christoph Freund, praised Ndiaye's development, who was judged to be able to adapt quickly to his new environment.

"Bara is a great footballer who was able to find his place in a completely new environment at Bayern in a very short time and quickly gain acceptance from the team," said Freund as quoted by Antara.

Bayern will then start the 2026/27 season by facing Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup, August 22, 2026. A week later, Bayern began their journey to retain the Bundesliga title by facing VfB Stuttgart.
