Polri Together with Journalist Trunojoyo Holds Bhayangkara Cup 2026, Strengthen Polri and Media Synergy

JAKARTA - In commemoration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri) together with Trunojoyo Journalists held the Bhayangkara Cup 2026 Padel sports tournament. The activity was officially opened on Saturday, July 11 at Padel Corner Kemang 27, South Jakarta.

This tournament was attended by members of the National Police and journalists who daily cover activities in the environment of the National Police Headquarters from various television, print, and online media.

This activity is one form of effort to strengthen relations and build better communication between the National Police and the press as strategic partners in delivering information to the public.

Head of the Information and Documentation Management Bureau (Karo PID) of the National Police Public Relations Division, Brigjen Pol. Saptono Erlangga, who was present on behalf of the Head of Public Relations of the National Police, opened the activity by expressing his appreciation to Journalist Trunojoyo for the synergy and positive communication that has been established with the National Police.

"Good relations between the National Police and the media are very important in supporting the creation of transparent, professional, and humanistic public communication," said Brigjen Pol. Saptono Erlangga.

According to him, sports are not only a competition, but also a means to strengthen togetherness, maintain sportsmanship, and build positive interaction between members of the National Police and media colleagues.

"Activities like this show that the relationship between the police and the media is not only intertwined in the implementation of duties, but also through various positive activities that can strengthen the sense of togetherness," he said.

Brigadier General of Police. Saptono Erlangga also reminded all participants to continue to uphold sportsmanship during the match.

"By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, the Bhayangkara Cup Padel in the context of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, I officially declare it open. Good luck, uphold sportsmanship, and may this activity run smoothly," he said.

In its implementation, the 2026 Padel Bhayangkara Cup will compete in three categories, namely the men's journalist category, women's journalist, and Polri personnel. In addition to the main match, the committee also presents an exhibition match that brings together representatives of Polri officials with representatives of journalists.

Through this activity, it is hoped that the partnership between the National Police and the media will be stronger in supporting the realization of informative, open, and public communication that builds public trust.
