JAKARTA - Taiwan has reopened a space for collaboration for world innovators through the Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026 program. The finalists will receive a monitoring program and a prize of 30 thousand US dollars or Rp. 542.6 million.
Unlike the first edition, this year's event presents the Top 20 Mentorship Program, a mentoring program aimed at transforming health ideas, including in the field of sports technology and sports science, into marketable solutions.
The program, which is organized by the International Trade Administration (TITA), Ministry of Economic Affairs Taiwan, together with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), has now opened registration for innovators, startups, researchers, institutions, and organizations from various countries, including Indonesia.
Under the theme "Designing Healthier Futures Together", this campaign highlights a number of Taiwan's flagship sectors such as smart healthcare, medical devices, healthy aging, wellness, to sports and fitness technology.
Participants are encouraged to utilize Taiwanese technology, products, and business models to present solutions that can be applied in communities, institutions, and work environments.
The presence of the Top 20 Mentorship Program is a major differentiator compared to previous events. A total of 20 selected finalists will receive direct assistance from industry experts to refine business models, validate market opportunities, accelerate commercialization, and open up opportunities for international collaboration.
The impact of the previous program is also beginning to be seen in the sports sector. In the United States, Ideas Lab is working with the Taiwan Institute of Sports Science (TISS) to develop artificial intelligence (AI) based motion analysis technology. This technology opens access to sports training with a wider professional standard.
The success of the first edition also became a big capital for the organizers. The initial target of 100 proposals was exceeded after receiving 638 proposals from 55 countries.
A number of international collaborations have even been realized, including the use of Taiwanese medical equipment in Ukraine as well as research cooperation between the Swiss company Perovskia and Everlight Chemical which resulted in a publication in the journal Nature.
For the 2026 edition, participants are required to submit proposals in English via the official Go Healthy with Taiwan website. Proposals must explain the solutions offered, the impact to be achieved, and how Taiwanese technology, products, services, or business models are integrated into the project. The deadline for submitting proposals is set for August 5, 2026 at 23.59 GMT+8.
The three best proposals will receive a prize of 30 thousand US dollars or Rp. 542.6 million each. In addition to receiving exclusive mentoring sessions, the six finalists will also be invited to Taiwan through a fully sponsored visit to meet leading technology companies, get to know Taiwan's health innovation ecosystem, and attend the final round.
The global transformation in the field of health triggered by the development of AI, preventive health services, longevity technology, and sports science is considered to open up opportunities for the birth of new innovations.
Through Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026, Taiwan hopes that more health and sports solutions will be born through cross-country collaboration, including from Indonesia.
