JAKARTA - The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) continues to hunt for young talents in the Hydroplus Soccer League (HSL) as part of efforts to increase the stock of players for the national team.

Member of the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) Vivin Cahyani Sungkono said that the Hydroplus Soccer League has a strategic role in expanding the base of Indonesian women's soccer players as well as being one of the talent monitoring venues.

"We have been monitoring several players and some who have joined the U17 national team and we hope that more and more players will be found and invited to join, both in the junior and senior national teams," he said in a statement.

He added that football competitions in league format such as the HSL have made the passion for women's football rise and opened up opportunities for talents from remote areas to get a chance to show off.

Vivin said that the existence of a competition with an automatic league format provides an opportunity for players to develop sustainably through consistent flying hours throughout the season.

"We cannot deny that the special competition for girls is very rare and this started very well. The correlation is very closely related to the overall development of women's football and we hope that with events like this we will find talented talents," he said.

The implementation of the regional round of the Hydroplus Soccer League 2025/2026 ended in Jakarta. The two teams that came out as champions in the Capital also automatically completed the list of teams that qualified for the national round of the Hydroplus Soccer League All-Stars 2025/2026.

From the U15 category, the title was secured by Cipta Cendikia Football Academy which was successful with a total of 90 points to maintain the top position in the standings. Meanwhile, the U18 champion title was won by Putri JP Jakarta with a collection of 54 points.

The two champion teams have not suffered any losses throughout the league with a total of 30 weeks in the U15 category and 18 weeks for the U18 category which took place from October 2025 to June 2026 at the GSport Jagorawi Soccer Arena, Bogor, West Java.

Program Director of Hydroplus Soccer League Teddy Tjahjono said that Jakarta is the region with the most participants compared to the other three regions, namely Bandung, Surabaya, and Kudus.

"There are 16 teams for U15 and 10 U18 teams. Meanwhile, in terms of quality, we see that from the first week to now it has improved a lot because every week they play and before the match they practice three to four times," he said.

He added that the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation is committed to strengthening the Indonesian women's football ecosystem through a series of interconnected and sustainable competitions.

"We are trying to provide a clear training path for female athletes. Hopefully the players will get competitive experience in stages so that they can develop their talents and abilities optimally," said Teddy.

The Hydroplus Soccer League All-Stars 2025/2026 will take place on July 5-12, 2026 in Kudus, Central Java. Each region will send four teams, consisting of the champions and runners-up in the U15 and U18 categories.
