JAKARTA - Marco Bezzecchi admitted that he received a short message from the legend Valentino Rossi so that he could spur him on to win the 2026 Brazilian MotoGP race at the weekend.

The rider who rides the Aprilia motorcycle said that the message sent by his mentor and senior before the race started managed to give him additional motivation on the track.

"He (Valentino Rossi) told me that I was in the best shape and I believed him. I feel good and it's amazing. I'm very happy," said Bezzecchi, quoted from Crash.

Bezzecchi finally managed to come out as the fastest ahead of his teammate Jorge Martin who was in second place. Following the two names in third place was Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) who started the race from the front row.

This victory confirms Bezzecchi's dominance on the MotoGP track at the beginning of this season. He previously also won the opening series which took place in Thailand.

Bezzecchi actually didn't start the weekend in Goiania well as he was scattered in 20th place in the Practice session so he had to start from Qualifying 1 (Q1). He then finished fourth in the Sprint Race before rising in the main race.

"It's incredible. A great day, a great race. I'm very happy because considering our position in Practice. Honestly, I never thought we would be able to win," said Bezzecchi.

This is Bezzecchi's fourth consecutive victory in the MotoGP arena. He previously last season also managed to take the first podium in the last two races, namely in the Portuguese and Valencia MotoGP.

Two wins at the start of the season have put Bezzecchi now on 56 points. He is 11 points ahead of Jorge Martin in second place and 14 points ahead of young rider Pedro Acosta in third.
