JAKARTA - AirAsia has officially partnered with Hyrox, a collaboration that combines the worlds of fitness, lifestyle, and travel to connect communities in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
This partnership covers more than 15 cities in Asia Pacific and is expected to connect Hyrox's growing community with a projection of more than 250 thousand athletes by 2026.
AirAsia X Chief Commercial Officer Amanda Woo said that sports have long been an important part of their airline's DNA in line with the "Dare to Dream" value that has been upheld so far.
"Today I am proud to announce that AirAsia will be the main sponsor for seven Hydrox races in 2026," said Amanda at the launch event of the cooperation which took place in Kuala Lumpur.
So far, AirAsia has been actively partnering with various global sports platforms, ranging from football in the ASEAN region, SEA Games, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), as well as AirAsia RedRun which was just introduced last year.
The latest collaboration with Hyrox aims to support athletes and fans who travel to race destinations. As part of this collaboration, both parties will launch community-based initiatives and activations on the ground outside race days.
"Hydrox participants will enjoy an exclusive 10 percent discount for flights with us to the selected Hydrox races when they fly with AirAsia," said Amanda.
In addition, AirAsia will also work with selected Hyrox Training Club fitness centers to deepen engagement with the fitness community.
AirAsia will be the main partner for two of AirAsia Hyrox's flagship events this year, consecutively in Jakarta on June 6-7, 2026 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition and AirAsia Hyrox Kuala Lumpur, which will take place in December 2026.
Managing Director of Hyrox APAC, Gary Wan, said that Hyrox is not just a race event, but a lifestyle and a sport that is built on the basis of community, consistency, and common goals.
