Harry Kane Reaches Gol Record, Vincent Kompany Challenges to Win Trophy

JAKARTA - Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany praised Harry Kane as a special player after he set a new record as the fastest player in Bundesliga history to reach 100 goals on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

The England captain's goal in the dying minutes of the game against Heidenheim saw him reach the milestone in just 78 appearances.

The previous record was held by former Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, who needed 119 appearances to reach the 100-goal mark.

"He won two titles this year for the first time in his career. So I think he has a lot of individual records. He will continue to have a lot of individual records because he is a special player."

"However, I think now the most important thing for him is to continue to win titles. We didn't win any titles today, but we put ourselves in a good position. That's important and he certainly plays a big role," Kompany said as quoted by ESPN.

Kane seems to be adding another Bundesliga champion medal. The reason is, the victory over Heidenheim brought Bayern Munich nine points ahead at the top of the standings.

His goal on Sunday was his 30th of the season in all competitions and his 19th in the league.

"Very proud, of course. I think it's entirely thanks to the commitment I give every day and the hard work I do, also to my teammates, to the coaching staff who continue to make me better, continue to make me grow."

"Yeah, look, I don't really focus on these things, but when it happens, I'm just looking forward to scoring the next goal. So, let's see how quickly we can get the next 100 goals," Kane said of his record.
